I first became a member of Cambridge Fitness in 1997 after the birth of my first child and it was about a year later I became a Les Mills group fitness instructor.

At that time I began teaching BODYBURN and BODYCIRCUIT. I remember being with Val when the first BODYCOMBAT was introduced at Les Mills Auckland and immediately loved the class and became an instructor for the programme.

When Cambridge Fitness introduced BODYCOMBAT I was hooked. I love teaching the programme it trains your whole body, keeps you fit, fast and strong, it provides a phenomenal core training.

I have been part of this great Cambridge Fitness family and Les Mills tribe for along time now and I have loved every minute and every new release.

I only sought out my first Les Mills Class because of a rumour. I had heard that the boy band, “Take That,” with Robbie Williams went.  Living in the UK. It was the 90’s the era of Boy Bands and most of us still had our leg warmers, and headbands and had got “Physical” with Olivia Newton John.

As Gerry Anderson said: “Focus on the journey not the destination.  Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.” Les Mills Group Fitness is my fitness bag.  Over the years I have become not only a BODY COMBAT devotee, but a dedicated follower of all the classes.

 

To become truly dedicated to fitness we have to find our exercise fit and the Les Mills formula was and is mine. It has inspired me not only to become a Les Mills Instructor, but also qualify at a Personal Trainer.

Now as I stand on the stage helping the members of the gym, to not only get fit, but to adore the journey, I feel so proud of the Tribe I am a part of.  The amazing elation at seeing someone master a move they have struggled with, or reaching their fitness goals inspires me to be the best I can be in every class.
